Remains of Roman city in England were found

In Kent (south-east of England), archaeologists found the remains of a Roman city. Numerous Roman artefacts have been discovered on the area of 18 acres.

Among them there are rare coins, ceramics, jewelry. Some finds are dated even for the pre-Roman period (around 30 BCE). The discovery was made near the main road in Newington.

In addition, the researchers managed to discover the remains of a Roman road, 7 meters wide, which connected Canterbury with the coast. There was also a temple next to the road.

According to the researchers, this discovery is one of the most important in the region in recent times.
