House of Lovers in Pompeii
Shared for visiting the House of Lovers in Pompeii

In Pompeii, after 40 years, the famous House of Lovers was reopened. The object was badly damaged in 1980s as a result of the earthquake that struck Campania.

The building was discovered in the 30s. of the 20th century. The monument is amazing because the floor of the structure is also preserved. The name of the building comes from a mural depicting a pair of lovers and an inscription at the entrance: “Lovers like bees pass a sweet life like honey”.

Renovations started 6 years ago, with the support of EU funds.
