Domus Transitoria
Domus Transitoria again open to tourists

Domus Transitoria – after almost 70 years – will be available again to tourists since April 11th. The building was founded between 60 and 64 CE in Rome on the initiative of emperor Nero.

Despite the great fire in 64 CE the remains of the first Nero’s palace have survived to our times. On its ruins, the famous Golden House was built (Domus Aurea).

Ruins of Domus Transitoria can be visited only in small groups.
