Antiquipop is an association that was founded in Lyon in 2015 to promote an increasingly elitist classical culture and study its presence in contemporary mass culture.

Every year, in several cities of France, thematic conferences and events are organized to popularize the broadly understood antique among new recipients. It turns out that the reception of the Antiquity has long been not limited to reading the Iliad. The makers of pop culture draw from ancient times in the field of film, music or fashion, and the ancient accents are present in advertisements of luxury products, computer games and video clips of music stars.

Promotional video shows an interesting collection of fragments of works and borrowings of mass culture in the field of antiquity with the musical theme of the series ROME in the background.
