When the world is living an irreparable loss, which is the fire of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, it is worth mentioning that in this place at the turn of the first century before and in the era, Jupiter’s temple was definitely located.

We know this on the basis of an inscription from stella funded by rafters from Parisium (in the picture) and Jupiter dedicated to the Best and Greatest – Juppiter Optimus Maximus and Emperor Tiberius, which is now in the Roman baths, so in the Cluny Museum, which was found near the cathedral. The remains of the cult of Isis have also been found in the island of l’Ile de la Cite; it is known that the cult of the goddess was developing in the area. The worship of the medieval monks also speaks of this cult. About Lutece inhabited by the Parisian people – Lutetia Parisiorum – already mentions Julius Caesar in his “Gallic Wars”.
